When the Dutch department store Hema approached us for their online Christmas campaign, we wanted to distinguish ourselves by not making the usual feel-good Christmas advertisements. We were a bit fed up with the commercials of families happily stuffing themselves with turkey. Times have changed, so why shouldn't Christmas ads change with them? That is why we have chosen to show HEMA's classic Christmas products in a different light. For example, we made a fashionable tuxedo jacket from wrapping paper and our favorite Chihuahua received a new leash with colored lights. We ate delicious ice cream with 'oliebollen' flavor (an β€˜oliebol' is a typical Dutch delicacy that is only eaten around the December holidays) and we created the coolest mohawk ever! Because at Christmas everything is possible.
